Clothes shops in town to try if you're looking for somewhere new

We all have our go-to shops in town when we're on the hunt for an outfit, but it's always good to shop around. Dublin has so many great clothes shops that you never knew were there - whether it's a high street newby or quirky vintage shop, there are some real gems to be found. We've picked a few places that are close to the major shopping streets and could just be your new favourite place.

Folkster

Located on Eustace Street, you might have noticed Folkster's incredible window displays as you've walked through Temple Bar. Filled to the brim with pale pinks, pastels and beiges, this is the perfect place to add something girly to your wardrobe. It's not as pricey as it looks - most of the tops are under €50 - stick to the front of the shop if you're looking for everyday wear, then there is a whole room at the back filled with prom dresses and evening gowns. This shop could hold it's own on Grafton Street, but the quiet atmosphere where it is means you can browse for as long as you like.

Dublin Vintage Factory

For the true vintage lovers out there, Dublin Vintage Factory is just a short walk from Henry Street on Smithfield Square. With jackets, dresses, jeans and dungarees for men and women there is a decent selection for such a small shop. As is the way with vintage, it's a total mixed bag and depends on the day whether you'll find what you're looking for, but there's something special about it.

Siopaella

Their specialty is reselling designer bags, so if you're mad about handbags this is the place for you. If not, there's a massive selection of clothes from a load of different places, you could come out with a Vivienne Westwood dress or a top from Warehouse. There's something for everyone from glitzy dresses to casual jackets, and you might even catch a sale too.

Bershka

On the upstairs floor of Jervis Shopping Centre, you might not have noticed Bershka yet but other people have. This high street store is for those of you who love to stand out and have a bit of inner-hipster going on. It's also very affordable, most of the dresses are under €30 and you can even pick up a top for a fiver. It's not a high street giant - yet - so you won't walk into a room where half the people have the same top as you on, but it's on the up.

Lucy's Lounge

In the middle of Temple Bar, Lucy's Lounge is for the ladies who love bold, bright colours and lots of glitter. The selection is just so random you never know what you might find - but if you're bored of the high street and looking for a bit of individuality this is a great spot. We'd even recommend just popping in to see it because it's so pretty inside (it's downstairs by the way).

Carousel

If you're all about your quirky prints and pretty dresses Carousel is made for you. Just around the corner from Grafton Street, all their clothes have a retro style that is perfect for summer. The clinched in waists and puffy sleeves are a homage to that 1950s style. It is on the pricey side compared to its high street competitors, a summers dress might set you back €60, but if you're into that look, it's worth it.
