L'Oreal Elvive Damage Rescue Intensive Conditioner

I read the back of the tub when browsing in the chemist.

"Enriched with Active serum and ceramide cement - a natural cement found in hair".

A natural cement found in hair? Huh? Well who cares, it sounded good to me. And I liked the idea of my oh so dry hair being supplemented by hair cement.

Curious, I read up on it. Well apparently the "cement" in this deep conditioner is a lipid rich replenisher that fills in any little cracks or scales in the hair shaft. Not only will there be an immediate effect but these products will restructure hair and repair damage over time. L'Oreal have done a ton of research on damaged hair - read it here

I love it. It definitely works well, really well. I can't speak for damage repair over time yet of course but the immediate effect is brilliant. Yes, there's a ton of silicone in it too of course, but to be honest that doesn't bother me as it smooths and makes hair shiny - which is all good in my book.

A BIG thumbs up. Major. And I don't normally say that about supermarket haircare brands.

This cost me €3.98 - but look out for special offers and you may get it cheaper
