The best concealers for when you desperately need one before pay day.
What are the best concealers for when you're in a fix?
We always think of concealers as the secret weapons of the beauty world. When it comes to our make-up bags, there are many things we couldn't live without. Take mascara, for example; it might look cool and edgy not to wear it in fashion shoots but, in real life, the more the better, right? Same goes for a good brow pencil/powder (especially for those of us who aren't lucky enough to have Brooke Sheilds-esque brows naturally).
The ultimate beauty must-haves though are concealers. Whether it's hiding blemishes, banishing dark circles or helping to lift and illuminate our faces, concealers see us through thick and thin and are the perfect complexion pick-me-up. We've tried and tested a lot of concealers over the years and here are five affordable options that won't let you down:
- Collection Lasting Perfection €5.79
Cheap as chips and twice as nice. This budget favourite is one that works well for covering up dark circles to give a natural finish that lasts the whole day.
- Rimmel Match Perfection Illuminating Concealer €7.99
One of our all time favourite concealers here at Beaut HQ, Rimmel's Match Perfection has a light texture that blends easily under eyes to illuminate and brighten. It also doubles up as a highlighter too.
- NYX Professional Makeup Concealer Wand €8
If choice of shades is what you're looking for from your concealer then NYX have you covered with these. There are plenty to choose from, from very pale to much deeper skin tones. The range also includes colour correctors such as green, yellow and peach.
- No 7 Match Made Concealer €10.50
Available in 17 shades this creamy concealer is a bit of a high street gem. It works well to cover dark circles and conceal blemishes, but if you buy a light and dark shade, the Match Made concealers also work really well as contour and highlighter sticks too.
- Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer €13.79
This is one of those concealers you'll often find sitting alongside luxury products in make-up artists' kit bags. Why? Because it does the job, brightening and erasing under eye bags in a jiffy.
