Eye Like It: Finds From Fuschia

fuschia2

D'yiz remember I judged the Face of Fuschia there the other week? Anyway, as part of that I got given a pile of goodies to familiarise myself with the brand. They're mainly known for their mineral makeup products and as you all know, I'm not a super-duper fan of powder mineral foundation - it just doesn't suit my skin. But I DO love anything what so ever to do with eyes, and Fuschia have, quite literally, a ton of products for peepers.

Here are four I really liked - the gel liners are very similar to Inglot's and you get a Bobbi Brown-sized pot of colouredy goodness for €18.75. The texture is quite wet and they're easy to work with and layer - I've been using that angled brush, €11, for the job and it's working a treat. Stayability? Great - they stay put and the colour range is good, both brights and wearable neutrals are on offer. So they've joined the plastic B&Q tub of eye products and are getting regular outings.

Like Inglot or Coastal Scents, you can create custom palettes in billions (ok, not quite billions) of variations and the shadows are nicely pigmented, come in lots of finishes and are soft and easy to work with. But those little pots above are gems. They're a bit like MAC or Barry M's loose pigments and you can use them wet or dry, brushed over shadow for an extra bit of lustre or solo. The damage? €13.50 each. The only bad thing about them is that they only come in five shades - so lets hope for a few more.

There's plenty more where that came from and I'm also using a nifty tube of clear gloss that's a dead ringer for Bobbi Brown's Crystal Lip Gloss - it's €13.50 and one of those products that might not look madly exciting but you'll just use and use. Oh and use some more.

You'll find Fuscia's store at Scotch Hall, Drogheda. The brand also sells through salons nationwide and online - check their website for more.
