L'Occitane Dry Skin Hand Cream: Unmoisturised Thumbs Down

l'occitane

I had high hopes for my little tube of L'Occitane hand cream. The label told me that it was for dry skin and contained an impressively whopping 20% shea butter, so I was confident that it would make easy work of sorting out my dessicated, getting close to chapping hand.

It was a mite greasy on application, but smelled lush and wasn't sticky so I happily put up with having to really rub my hands together vigorously until it sank in. And sure that bit of massage is good for the circulation, wha'?

Unfortunately, once absorbed, it was difficult to see or feel any difference. I was so disappointed, because I know loads of people who absolutely swear by the stuff as a bit of a miracle worker, but it's not my Holy Grail handcream. Not by a long shot.
