Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lip Tints: Review & Pictures

rimmel lasting finish lip tints

As a Woman Who Assuredly Loves a Lip Stain, I have a formula and there are a few things a tint needs to do in order to be any cop:

  1. have lots and lots of colour
  2. not scratch the bejaysis out of your kisser when you apply thanks to a nib of Satan
  3. Leave lips in some form of comfortable state post-application
  4. Not dry up approx one week after purchase

Of Rimmel's new Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lip Tints, I can say that they do satisfy points 2 and 3, I can't yet address point 4 as my samples have only been open a few days, and on number 1, apart from the much-beloved and much-missed Bourjois Rouge Hi-Tech lip stains, nothing at the budget end of the market has ever managed to deliver such a total bleedin' soaking of colour. If you want to hand over a lot of dosh, then Smashbox's Limitless Lip Stain is the best of the best I've tried - but at €26, very pricey.

Rimmel's new stains are better than Max Factor's not that nice offering and pretty parallel to Revlon's Just Bitten lipstains, I'd say. The nib is grand, it doesn't drag or scratch lips and is easy to draw with, the colour deposit ranges from light to fairly decent depending on the shade (Carry on Cherry is the best) and you can build it a bit (none of the cheaper offerings give a really immediate, fantastic punch of colour but this does depend on the pigmentation in your own lip skin too)  and the balm on the end ensures a comfortable result.

Psst: Endless Blossom is pretty much a perfect dupe for Revlon's Just Bitten in Passion, fact fans.  These promise up to 12 hours wear but no, you won't get that. A couple of hours is generally what I get from a lighter tint like these, before I need to get my marker out again and get scribblin'.

Packaging's nice, the balm is a good inclusion and the shades, though limited to four, are nice and bright and will suit most. The last noteworthy thing about these is the cost: you'll find them at the moment at introductory price of €5.99 for a limited time; after that they'll go up to €7.45. Compare that to Revlon's €11, and I know where I'd rather save my cents.
