SNEAK PEEK! Clarins Spring 2015 Garden Escape Collection

I popped over to the launch of the Clarins Spring Collection - which will be available from mid-January - last night. In the depths of the winter weather, I walked into a room full of soft pinks and green hues. And it was lovely!

The Garden Escape Collection is, overall, another winner from Clarins. It contains the usual pinkish bridal feel we've come to expect from Clarins, but the products are actually much more impressive than they look in the pan, as I learned during Derrick Carberry's masterclass.

ClarinsGardenPalette.jpgThe Garden Escape Palette, which I thought was pretty but not very impressive, was used to great effect by Derrick on model Ash. I wasn't convinced by the teal green eye pencil at first, but Derrick did an easy smokey eye with it that looked absolutely wearable and very fetching indeed!

Two sheer Joli Rouge Billant lipsticks in soft pink and hot coral complement the collection's soft dusky blush beautifully. The stars of the collection are lip products, though. These balms (top left) come in a collections of wearable shades, smell absolutely divine and are oh so buttery on the lips.

The most exciting launch, however, is the Instant Light Lip Comfort Oils.

These are like a lip gloss and treatment rolled into one. They look like gloss on the lips but aren't sticky, and they're oil-based to nourish lips. They also smell incredible. These will go quickly when they launch!

The finished look is fresh, natural and glowy but the green smoky eye is something of a curveball, lending the look some interest. This is Spring makeup at its best and I'm looking forward to going light and bright with my makeup when Spring rears its head!
