Before They've Even Foxtrotted, There's a Favourite to Win Strictly

Nobody has even taken to the dance floor yet on Strictly Comes Dancing but already punters are betting on their favourites to win the whole thing.

The first show kicked off officially a few weeks ago and since then the celebs have been dancing up a storm with their respective partners to ready themselves for this weekend's opening shows.

It seems Peter Andre is the heavily backed favourite to win at 5/2 and has even received the support of reigning champion Caroline Flack.

In second place is Call the Midwife star Helen Georges who can now be backed at 9/2 having been initially installed at 7/1.

Former Corrie actress Georgia May Foote and The Wanted’s Jay McGuiness are both next in the betting at 8/1 with Jamelia and sports presenter Kirsty Gallacher priced at 10/1 apiece, and newscaster Katie Derham in at a respectable 12/1.

So where, pray tell, is our Daniel on the list? Well he is currently the biggest liability for BoyleSports bookies as support continues to grow for the Donegal native to win. O’Donnell is priced at 16/1 to get his hands on the Glitterball trophy, but with the first elimination looming, it could be all over too soon for Daniel and his fans as he is priced at 5/1 to get the boot.

Aoife Heffron, PR Executive at BoyleSports, commented; "Daniel O’Donnell is something of an anomaly at the moment, he is the pick of the lot with punters and the biggest threat for BoyleSports, but is third in line to be the first to go. People will be drawn to his well-known charm and of course the novelty factor, but there have been reports that sparks have flown between himself and partner Kristina Rihanoff so he really could shock us all."

G'wan the Daniel!
