Dragons' Den Will Return to RTE1 in 2016 After Two Years

Start getting those entrepreneurial ideas ready because Dragons' Den is returning to RTE1 for its seventh series next year.

Although it doesn't feel like it, it's been two years since we last had the show on our screens. This time round it's returning with some new dragons to boot, although no names have been released yet, while Richard Curran will be returning to present.

The press statement reads; "Dragons’ Den last aired in 2014 and since then the economic landscape in Ireland has changed quite dramatically, due in no little part to the role of small entrepreneurs. Ireland is finally turning a corner and getting back on its feet, in fact, 114 new businesses were started every day in August.

"So if you are one of these new start ups, or indeed already operating successfully and looking to expand or you feel you have a lucrative business idea and could use financial backing then it’s time to enter the Den."

Not only does Dragons’ Den provide hugely engaging television viewing for Irish audiences but it also offers invaluable support for Irish entrepreneurs who have been key to the Irish economy’s recovery and RTÉ is committed to supporting emerging business ideas."
