They're in front of us on the TV every night and on the receiving end of some of our harshest criticisms when they're wrong, but if we're being honest with ourselves we love our weather presenters almost as much as we love the weather itself. But who's our favourite?
According to the Independent and a survey carried out by Dulux Weathershield and Ipsos MRBRI, the nation's favourite weather person is *drumroll* Evelyn Cusack who's been telling us when to layer up and strip off since 1988. That's 27 years people. She's basically family.
Coming in second place was relative spring chicken Martin King, who we first saw when TV3 launched ten years later in 1998.
And none other than the queen of weather glamour herself Jean Byrne ranked third in the survey.

Other facts gleaned from the survey include the non-surprising statistic that 60% of people talk about the weather twice a day, and that 38% don't have faith in the daily forecast.
