Love Island will have EIGHT new arrivals

It was tense times on Love Island last night as one of the villa's formerly strongest couples, Tom and Sophie, had to say their goodbyes. Following their break-up earlier in the week, the pair were voted one of the house's weakest couples, alongside Adam and Lyanna, but instead of one couple being voted off, the public had to vote one of the pair to stay.

It meant that both Tom and Lyanna have now left the show, with Tom telling Sophie that he loved her as they said goodbye, and promising he'd wait for her. Will she hold out for him though? Possibly not, as eight new arrivals are arriving onto the show tonight. Things won't be getting too cramped though, as the current Islanders will vote just two of them to stay, one guy and one girl.

The lads are 23-year-old Marcus Privet from Essex, 29-year-old Rob Mead also from Essex, 23-year-old Adam Jukes from Manchester and 24-year-old Ashley Ienco from Yorkshire.

Ashley has his eye on newly single (sort of) Sophie too, saying he is attracted to her for her "maturity and stunning looks".

The girls are 23-year-old Sinead Hegarty from Northern Ireland, 20-year-old Katie Salmon from Liverpool, 31-year-old Kasey Wynter from London, and 21-year-old Chelsea Kelly from Scotland.

Kasey was on Britain's Next Top Model in 2009, and once dated Desperate Housewives star (and Nadine Coyle's ex) Jesse Metcalfe.

Will like attract like perhaps in the villa and will Adam go for fellow Northern Irish girl Sinead? We'll have to wait and see tonight.

Catch Love Island tonight on UTV Ireland at 9pm.
