At this stage, as much as we truly loved the Sex and the City ladies, we may just be done with the whole palava, but apparently they are not. At least according to the author of the original books, Candace Bushnell, who feels it is "inevitable" the characters will return.
Bushnell told The Independent; "They feel like friends and people we knew. It’s like the phenomenon of Friends. People really, really felt like the characters on Friends were their friends.
"It’s the same thing with Sex and the City – we feel like those characters are our girlfriends, we feel like we really know them."
However Bushnell also added; "It’s not up to me, but I feel like we’re going to revisit those characters, maybe in another movie or something, down the road.
"I don’t know anything about this and of course I’ll say this and they’ll say ‘Candace Bushnell says there’s going to be a Sex and the City 3’, which I’m not, but I feel like people will want to revisit those characters and I’d love to revisit them too."
We're still kind of scarred from the visual atrocity that was Sex and the City 2 to be honest. It was so bad, it actually kind of tainted the original series, so no more, dammit!
Let's just pretend they all lived happily ever after, Jimmy Choos and all.
