Toasting the Tux: Perfect Office-to-Evening Wear

There is something I just LOVE about the dinner jacket look.

I don't know if it's the love I have for Kate Moss, or the fact that I envy the one my husband owns. Worn over a smart pair of black tapered trousers, skinny jeans or leather leggings; myself and the tux jacket have developed a strong kinship. It's a suggestive style of jacket, worn with a simple white t-shirt, or if you are brave enough you can wear on its own. Actually I'm not sure if I'm brave enough for that.

In terms of selection, we are a little spoilt for choice when it comes to the tux jacket with Next, Wallis and River Island being the champions. Fit is super important, so try it on with the top you intend to wear with it. The jacket should sit right at the edge of your shoulder (over it makes it look too square); on a personal styling note, I like to wear these style of jackets open.

And the celebs love it too; remember the suit that Angelina Jolie wore to the BAFTAs this year? Yeah she set the tone!

So swap out the work blazer for something more dressy to get you from the office to cocktail hour! What do you think? Do you love the tux as much as we do at Beaut HQ? Answers on a postcard please.
