Mac Cremeblend Blushes: First Look

There's been much chatter in beautyland about the fact that Mac's much-loved Blushcreme range is being discontinued. We've had emails and tweets from anxious Blushcreme fans, wanting to know why. Basically, Mac is phasing in a new blusher line, Cremeblend, which it first showcased in the Mac in Lillyland collection, and phasing Blushcreme out.

Of particular angst to many was the rumour that one of the most popular Blushcreme shades, Ladyblush, was going too.

It's not. Rest easy girls, Ladyblush is back in the new lineup. I had a gander at them at the weekend and the formula is apparently different, including avocado oil for extra slip (that's the bloom you can see on the surface of the pans, most likely).

And there are five other shades incoming too: something special, so sweet - so easy (a re-release from Mac in Lillyand), posey, tea petal and brit wit.

I don't actually have any Blushcremes to hand so can't accurately compare them in terms of feel and payoff, but these seem to be quite sheer, fluid on the fingers and skin and dewy. Here's a (very bad) swatch of a couple of the shades. I, er, can't remember which is which, sorry!

These will be available in March and I've no price info yet - but will update as and when.
