Bird Prints are Going Nowhere Fast & Other Stories from the CBS Party

We don't want to be mean so we are not going to write an article on the bad makeup jobs at the CBS summer party (of which there were many). But look through the gallery anyway to have a look for yourself. Seriously - not good.

One look did grab us, however, because of the wearer's lipstick. It is just like the one from Catrice we have, from the now departed Nude Purism range. The shade was Delicate Rose Wood and we still wear it most days because it's gorgeous. Did you happen to pick anything up from the limited edition line when it was around?

The shade and texture of Ruth Wilson's lippy are both really flattering and it's one of those rare hues that suits most people. Her the dewy base is also lovely but her liner is unfortunately on the too-heavy handed side. No matter, her beautiful hair makes up for it. So glossy! And we lurve her gúna. It's a great example of transitional apparel because it would look great in summer and other times of the year. The bird print is fabulous - proving that birds will not be leaving our clothes any time soon - and the colour palette was chic.

Another outfit we rated was actress Hayley Kiyoko's; the soft, relaxed jumpsuit was both elegant and edgy. Take  note if you want to break the mould and not wear a dress from Coast at a wedding this year.
