Chanel Graphite Dupes - Do They Exist Yet?

Chanel Graphite Dupes - Do They Exist Yet?

No sooner did we break the news about Chanel's autumn nail polish, Graphite, than you lot began speculating about a dupe for it. While we haven't seen it up close and personal yet, it does look like it might be one that can be easily copied. Though, we did think that about Black Pearl and look where that got us, eh?

Reader Karen suggested Essences's recent Metallics polish in Nothing Else Metals, which is third from the left, above.  She's got a swatch of it on her blog, so see what you think. There's another Metallics polish that kinda sorta sits in the same general chromey/olivey spectrum and that's Iron Goddess, but I think it's too brown to really act the pretender.

Sbb suggested Essie's Steel-ing The Scene, away on the right hand side of the pic, and it's probably pretty close indeed.  And as I was thinking about this post another Chanel shade came to mind: Kaleidoscope. Released in 2008, this is a greeny-goldy-metallic that was limited edition. You may be able to hunt down a bottle on eBay if you're super-duper lucky. Or, if you have one in your possession then you've hit AW11 paydirt - wear now and feel super ahead of the curve.
