Charlotte Tilbury Cosmetics Arrive Aug 25th: Here's What You NEED to Know!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending the morning with the team at Charlotte Tilbury in Brown Thomas. And I had swoons ranging from major to minor - I felt like I was walking along the makeup equivalent of that piano from 'Big', doing a little dance every time a new product was placed in my eager little paws.

A few weeks ago we brought you all the deets on the mini launch that happened in-store at Dublin's Brown Thomas and at BT online. Two of her iconic skin products (Wonder Glow and Magic Cream) went on sale last month, but the glorious (I just dribbled on my keyboard a little) makeup goes on sale from August 25th.

See, when I saw the ten different makeup looks that are dubbed the 'Tilbury Transformations', I felt my heart do a little thump and so I set off to learn more about what we can expect to see on shelves next month.

Each of the looks comes with a little card so that you can see exactly what is used. But it's the lips and eye palettes that are the keys to the spectrum of these looks. And that's because Charlotte only has the one mascara, Full Fat Lashes (complete with laser cut brush) and one foundation, Light Wonder.

She has spent years refining these and was known for layering up to five different mascaras backstage on her clients (she is makeup artist to Kate Moss and Penelope Cruz) until she made one that she felt was the mascara mama of them all. And the foundation comes in ten shades and is suitable for all skin types. It is designed to be buildable so you control whether you want light or heavy coverage with the sweep of your brush.

I was immediately drawn to the Dolce Vita palette.

It's perfect for blue eyes, with shades of bronze, gold and russet. For a light daytime look, sweep the lightest shade over the eyelid to act as a base and follow with an all over wash of the russet. Pop a little of the darkes colour in the palette into the outer third of the eyelid, into the orbital and under the bottom lash. The pat a little of the golden, iridescent shade all over the eye to add subtle sparkle, just enough to catch the light.

I cannot WAIT to get my paws on it and create an evening, smokey look.

We don't have exact euro prices for these palettes yet but given that they retail for £38, you should start saving now.

There are eyebrow pencils, kohl and liquid liners; all heavily pigmented and the kohl is so soft that you can draw precise cat flicks by holding it right at the tip.

But there is one other product that I willed to fall into my handbag when Team Tilbury weren't looking.

The Beach Stick comes in five different shades and gives a subtle colour to the cheek - whether you are looking for a pop of pink or a bronzing/contouring definition, there is a stick for you. Again, we are still waiting on confirmed euro prices but we do know that over the Irish sea these babies retail for £30.

I feel in lust with Moon Beach, a rose gold with peachy undertones. Now, I didn't kidnap it but the thought was there. And I'm not sorry.

If you want to check out the range, pop into BT now for one of their complimentary classes and eye makeovers. These are running for the next two weeks but make sure to book and just follow the drool.

From September, you'll be able to book a makeover for €55 with a lead makeup artist who has worked with Charlotte herself, or €35 will get you a makeover with a member of Team Tilbury, with the cost being redeemable on products as usual.

But *pssst* I have a secret, whisper it now….if you book a makeover between August 25th and September 7th, the cost is a teeny tiny €15, still redeemable on product - perfect if you want to dip your toe in the Tilbury water.

Have you tried any Charlotte Tilbury cosmetics? What products are you excited to see on shelves? And do you have your eye on a palette already? To the comments!
