Review: Bare Minerals Performance Wear Liquid Foundation and Concealer

I am a big fan of mineral makeup. Since I've hit the ripe age of 30 I have become so much more aware of my skin so mineral foundation is primarily what I wear. Application

I used about four pumps to cover my whole face. The consistency is thin so I needed a good bit of product. The shade I am wearing in this picture is warm natural 1.2, which is perfect for my pale winter skin. It has a golden tone to it, which I like because you can wear it with tan without having a pink face to yellow body.

I'm wearing the light neutral concealer which has a slightly more pink undertone. I always prefer a pink tone in my concealer to counteract dark circles under my eyes. I used a stifle brush to apply the foundation and just used my fingers to pat the concealer into my skin.

Longevity

I wore it all day and only had to touch up my nose once throughout the day (which I always have to). I have dry skin so I didn't need to powder the foundation. It is water and sweat resistant. It stayed perfectly through my yoga class so I would imagine it would hold up pretty well through a gym session.

Final Thoughts

The foundation feels lightweight, it doesn't feel heavy on your skin. It dries down to a matte finish so anybody who gets an oily T-zone throughout the day will love it. In fact, if you have oily skin, this could be the mineral based answer to all of your problems. It is long wear; you'd only really need touch-ups where you tend to touch your face a lot.

My favourite part of the collection is the concealer. It has such a gorgeous consistency. Even though it has a matte finish it applies easily. It warms onto your skin and looks like skin, not creamy concealer. It covers dark circles well and didn't gather in the creases around my eyes.
