Ignoring my dodgy Phantom of the Opera reference above, intensely moisturising spa-inspired fabric masks are big news. We blogged about Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Plump Perfect Firming Facial Mask a good while ago now, but they're certainly not the only company making them. These masks are a quick fix solution for when you really need a lift, or to just give your skin a moisturising treat every week or so.

Brands as diverse in price as L'Oreal Revitalift and Lancome offer their versions, promising to do various things such as smooth out wrinkles, firm skin tone and rehydrate stressed skin.

I like the look of ROC Hydra + Destressant Moisturising Anti-Fatigue Mask though, plus it came top in a Now! mag poll of 8 similar products. Their tester said it was a 'great alternative to a salon facial' - and at about €20 for 5 masks, that sounds bluddy brilliant. But what about the sciency bit? Roc themselves say it contsins "an anti-oxidizing complex and a vitamin rich concentrate of natural agents. In 15 minutes, your skin is moisturised. It relaxes, becoming smoother and more luminous. Signs of fatigue are reduced".

I'm sold, quite frankly.
