Tried & Tested: New Physicians Formula Super CC Collection

Tried & Tested: New Physicians Formula Super CC Collection

I salute anyone who can continue to wear full coverage or even medium coverage foundation in the humidity and general stickiness of the summer months; it's not an easy ask.

You see, the minute it starts to get warm, my skin tends to reject make-up, meaning it's better just to go with the flow and keep things simple, using some SPF and then a little concealer here and a dab of powder there.

With that in mind, the new Physicians Formula Super CC collection seemed like it'd be right up my street as it offers multi-tasking and multi-functional products. Anything that can cut the ol' morning makeup routine in half is at least worth a look, right?

There are three new products in the collection; an anti-aging concealer, CC Moisturising Cream, and a powder. All contain broad spectrum SPF30 and work to not only correct uneven pigmentation/age spots/redness but also care for the skin while you're wearing it.

Super CC Cream: Before & After wearing light medium

The first product I tried was the Super CC Cream (€19.90) in the shade light/medium which did technically colour correct my skin - but unfortunately, it was a pretty awful shade of orange, so, thumbs down for that.

The texture did feel nice but considering the colour; I just couldn't go outside wearing it. I then moved on to the concealer (€15.90) which I had more luck with. Again, it looked quite dark in the tube but when blended onto the skin worked a treat. There's a light, creamy texture to it and it moves with the skin rather than sitting in any fine lines - plus I really do like that there's SPF30 included.

Super CC Concealer Top Right: Before // Bottom Right: After

Last, but by no means least, is the Super CC Powder (€17.90) which is by far my pick of the collection. This works really well on its own buffed over skin, reducing redness, covering small blemishes and brightening - plus it wears well throughout the day too. It's my new go-to for days when I need to get my base on quickly and don't have time to be messing around with multiple products.

Are you liking the look of these?
