Trilogy Rosehip Cleansing Cream - a Great Substitute for Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish

Trilogy Rosehip Cleansing Cream - a Great Substitute for Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish

After the surprise win of Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanse and Polish in our recent Stars of 2006 poll, lots of you expressed amazement that a product that's so hard to get would prove so popular. But it's ace, and that's why!

I use it myself, and it's a big part of my night time routine - it's a lovely product that keeps skin calm and happy during the cleansing process, and doesn't cause any tightness. Liz Earle products are made from natural ingredients too, which I appreciate. But yes, the big drawback is the lack of availability. So are there any other products out there that are similar?

I recently tried out Trilogy Rosehip Cleansing Cream and initially wasn't too wowed by it, basically because I'm not really a big cream cleanser fan. But I really liked the ethos behind the product - Trilogy is a New Zealand based brand who make "ethically, aesthetically and environmentally" friendly products, and the Rosehip cream is no exception. It contains loads of goodness like organic rosehip oil and other nutritious goodies such as evening primrose oil, jojoba, almond and carrot oil. It smells pretty good too.

So instead of using it as a regular cleanser with cotton pads morning and night, I decided I'd try it out in a hot cloth n' polish way. And this, as it turns out, is a perfect way to use it - for me anyway. Used this way, it's very similar to the Liz Earle hot cloth method, and it leaves skin smooth, sweetly scented and supple. Love it!
