Where to find the loveliest lingerie for less

Where to find the loveliest lingerie for less

Aw, it's that time of year again where we dash to the shops at the last minute to get a card for our other halves, and we receive those lovely roses from the local petrol station. Well, for Valentine's Day 2016, should you wish to turn it up a notch, there are some really hot lingerie pieces out there that won't break the bank. The main thing about lingerie is that when you put it on, you feel great. And when you feel great, you look great. Whether those racy lacies are for you, or you prefer something more demure, then our high street favourites have answered the call.

You don't necessarily have to go for the classic two-piece, you can opt for the latest trend of the all-in-one, or to give it its traditional term, the teddy. I'm not sure if I like that name or not, it sounds a bit weird, if I'm honest. But the "onesie" lingerie look is something you can get for less than you think. Check out this one from Lidl, yes I said, Lidl, for just €7.99.

And you can keep yourself covered for the reveal in this lovely kimono, also from Lidl.

If a bra and fancy pants set is more your thing, then you will be spoilt for choice this year. The trend is for colour, lace and print all of which are championed by our old reliable go-to shops.

Sometimes you just can't resist the old fashioned, boudoir style look. I have completely fallen for pin-up style lingerie which I have seen a lot of in shops like New Look and River Island and department stores like Arnotts, who stock great brands like Passionata, Chantelle, Freya and Huit, all of whom are known for exceptionally made lingerie.
