Aquis Lisse Wonder Towel: All That And A Bag Of Chips?

When I read Karen's glowing reviews of a hair towel that cut her drying time in half over on Make Up And Beauty Blog, I was on to Amazon to hunt one down faster than you can say "one-click checkout". Y'see, I mostly let my gruaig dry naturally - seriously, I'd say I've used a hairdryer twice so far in 2011 - which is no doubt better for it than blasting it with heat, but it means I spend an awful lot of time with wet hair.

So I bagged a white Aqua Lisse jobbie from Amazon (it was £14.95 incl. delivery) and waited for the postman to do his thing.

It's a lightweight microfibre towel, so it's incredibly absorbent, and it's about the size of a decently proportioned hand towel, making it plenty big for wrapping up my long hair into a turban post wash. As for how it performs, well, it definitely sucks more water out of wet hair than a regular towel.

Now, it's still not bone dry when I let it down after 20 minutes or thereabouts, but it's almost at a point where I could leave the house without looking like I just stepped out of the shower, and also air dries far more quickly.

Is it an essential, must run out and buy it immediately bit of kit? Nah, probably not, but it does make life easier if you like to let your hair dry au natural and I imagine those with lots of thick hair would love it.
