Ask and you Shall Receive: Liz Earle

liz earleReader Rachel has asked us to write a post to highlight the brilliance of Liz Earle skincare products. We're happy to oblige!

This brand is the sort of one beauty editors always tout as a 'must have', and then when us mere mortals try to find it, we find it's more like a 'can't have'. Liz Earle products are hard to come by - they have only one physical location and that's on the Isle of White - so fairly inaccessible to us Irish folks. Thankfully you can also buy through their online store, and QVC stock the range as well.

The product you hear about time and time again is their famous Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. It's an award-winning, concentrated cleanser that removes everyday grime and make-up, including mascara, to leave all skin types feeling healthy, clear and soft. You massage it onto your face and then use one of their special muslin cloths which you run under hand-hot water, wring out so that it's damp but not wet, and you then clean your face with it. The cleanser itself contains tons of natural goodies like cocoa butter, hops, rosemary, chamomile sweet almond, eucalyptus and beeswax. It's also not that expensive, I was pleased to find. The starter pack which contains a 100ml pump of the cleanser and 2 muslin cloths is only £11.25 STG. Not a bad price at all for such a feted product.

That's not all they make though - there are also other gorgeous products like their
Instant Boost Skin Tonic which is a refreshing and comforting gentle alcohol-free toner. Like the cleanser it contains aloe vera and vitamin E to condition skin, leaving it velvety soft and radiant. Mmmm! That'll set you back £9.50 STG. Or you could try a moisturiser - the Skin Repair Moisturiser sounds great. It contains avocado oil, borage oil, vitamin e and echinacea to help strengthen and protect skin. Again, it's really reasonably priced at £13 STG.

Even with the currency conversion and shipping (which costs £7.50 STG to Ireland), you could get yourself a really good skincare routine for around fifty euro - not bad at all.
