A&USR: male problem skin

We were asked by a guy who suffered from acne when he was younger and now, by the age of 32, still finds he hasn't "grown out of it" as everyone annoyingly reassured him he would, what he should do. He gets a lots of blocked pores, blackheads and breakouts. And it not's not anything a Biore porestrip will come close to sorting out. He has a good skincare routine - but when I looked at the products he was using I could immediately see how he could make a big difference.

The first thing I would advise is a facial. Now, I know a lot of men balk at this thought, but to be honest there is NOTHING that you can do at home to treat your problem skin the way a trained beautician can. He or she will use their skills to get rid of those blackheads, unclog your pores, exfoliate and refresh and renew your skin in a way you won't be able to believe. It might take a course of sessions but the results will be so worth it. Plus the beautician will get to know your skin and recommend specific products to you.

The second recommendation I would make for you, is to use products that are formulated especially for your skin type. At the moment you're just using regular face washes and the like - they're not good enough to sort out your skin. You need to use antibacterial face washes, scrubs and balms.

Why don't you try the Dermalogica acne prone skin kit. This includes travel size products of Anti-bac Skin Wash (60ml), Medicated Clearing Gel (10ml), Multi-active Toner (60ml), Oil Control Lotion (22 ml) and sample sizes of Gentle Cream Exfoliant and Anti-Bac Cooling Masque. It costs €26.95 and is a great way to try out this range and see if you like it before ordering the full size products

Also contains a bacteria and fungus killing ingredient. Incredibly effective, but far less drying then most other acne products. Costs €39.
