Cherry Gives us Her Estee Lauder Low-down

day wearBeaut.ie reader - and fellow blogger -Cherry got in touch with us to share the benefits of her Estee Lauder knowledge - read on gals, you're going to be reaching for your purse and legging it to the nearest Estee counter by the time you're done!

"Okay, I have to be honest here, the merest glimse of that pale green Estee Lauder packaging used to take me back to the 1970s when my Mum would waft about in something chiffon with her blue eyeshadow on, smelling of Youth Dew, but girls, I’m a convert.

My first recommendation, nay, miracle, is DayWear Plus Multi Protection Anti-Oxidant Moisturizer SPF 15. This stuff is fab. First of all it smells yummily and summerily (okay, I don’t think that’s a word) of cucumber, but the real trickery takes place when you you squeeze it out of the tube. It looks weirdly grey but has a magical tint that appears as you blend it in, inexplicably enhancing and evening out any skin tone. It leaves a nice dewy finish but if you’re remotely prone to shine (as I am), then you can powder on top and it lasts all day. Fab.

Second on my must-have list is their Bronze Goddess Soft Matte Bronzer. Again, being slightly on the glowy side, I tend to stay away from shimmer, but this silky powder gives a lovely finish without the ‘dirty’ look of some matt bronzers.

Last but not least, having developed a freckle on my lip (I kid you not) on my recent Goan holiday, I’m plumping for their Amber Bronze Lip Gloss Balm. It’s got a nice non-sticky texture without the horrid perfumy taste of some glosses, plus a delicate shimmer and the added bonus of SPF15.

There, that’s my lot. Get thee to the chemist. Just stay away from the Youth Dew "

Update: SO sorry Cherry, we didn't know you were a blogger when this went up or we would have mentioned it (I've fixed it now!). Visit Cherry at cherryparfait
