Flexitol Heel Balm

flexitolThe quest for cheese rind free heels continues. We've blogged about Boots Gorgeous Feet Amazing Anti-Rub and Scholl Cracked Heel Cream. And I noticed in blather a mention of something called Flexitol Heel Balm.

Beaut.ie reader Montagne told us that she now has "feet to be proud of; baby soft and crack free after only three days". Normally she has feet "that you could grate cheese off but now they are silky".

Needless to say, I was intrigued. Very intrigued. So I did a bit of t'auld t'internet research. Flexitol scores highly - very highly. Another user had this to say about it: "I've now been using it twice a day for 7 days now and I can only tell you how impressed I am. I have no hard skin; it's been replaced with smooth soft skin that doesn't have that nasty yellow tinge. Its even got rid of the hard skin round my little toe and the couple of cracks in my heels"

So why is Flexitol so good? The secret is urea. Urea is an active ingredient that softens skin, and Flexitol contains a relativey high percentage of it - 7%, so it's one of the strongest over the counter topical creams you can buy.

This was enough for me, I went straight to my nearest Boots and stocked up. 56g will cost about €7.50 and I'll be trying mine out and reporting back ASAP.
