I have been going through what seems like an endless struggle to remove the warm tones from my hair. I want it a certain way for my wedding (like a lot of brides do) and it's taking me so long to get there. Every blonde or person with blonde 'bits' should use a purple shampoo. Just like how you neutralise redness in your skin with a green concealer, this works is with basic colour correction. Purple is opposite yellow on the colour wheel, so by using the purple pigment, it sticks to the brassy tones in your hair, neutralising the yellow tones.

I used the GK Miami Bombshell, a purple shampoo that Sugar Cubed stock. And it really did the trick. You can use it as a conditioner, but I left it on for about 30 minutes (don't worry, it's allowed!) to get stronger results. It calmed down the brassiness, and my hair just looked better after. It's enriched with keratin and protein to help strengthen the hair, so maybe that's why.
