YSL Rose Baby Doll: eyeliner, nail lacquer, lip stain. Couldn't. Love. Anything. More.

YSL-2013-Baby-Doll-Mascara-Baby-Doll-Collection

I just have one thing to say about the new YSL Rose Baby Doll Collection.  I am in deep, proper love.  It's not just the sheer quality of the products or the fact that YSL are just fantastic at colour cosmetics and packaging.  No, it's the way the whole collection has been put together, the colour a deep and beautiful raspberry pink, and the packaging satisfyingly chunky.  The products simply glide on and the wear is astonishing.

L-R:  Rose Baby Doll eyeliner No.16; Rose Baby Doll Glossy Stain; Rose Baby Doll Nail Lacquer

Look at the beauty of this Glossy Stain (€29.00) packaging.  So chic, so modern.  The lip stain itself is worthy of the name - it lasts and lasts like a Duracell bunny.  In the swatch below I had to practically scrub it off my arm with soap and water - no cup of coffee or mug of tay is a match for this baby (doll).

The swatches don't do justice at all to the eyeliners (€31) and I was really disappointed not to catch the iridescence and sparkle they bring.  The gold liner (Golden Reflection No.15) in particular is a real stand out - beautifully metallic it will be perfect for all those summer nights out you've got planned.  The brush is fine and perfect for creating a subtle flick - or double it up and give it some welly.

And this is just one coat of the Nail Lacquer (€21). One coat.  Why with two I believe I could take over the world. (Excuse the wonky top nail - it decided to split just before I applied the varnish).

And I haven't even got to the mascaras!  Hold on tight I'll be reviewing them shortly.
