Gio pointed out recently in comments on blather that we don't really cater to darker skins - and that's true. We generally write about what we know and what we've tested, and so our Irish users who don't have the same skin tones as us may feel a bit left out. Sorry about that and we are conscious of it - and hope to bring some you useful information and beauty bits as time goes on. If there are Asian / African ladies in Ireland who read beaut.ie and who know of good ranges, do get in touch - we'd love to hear from you regarding brands, availability and what's good - and also what's awful!

In the meantime, I found a good blog called facecandy which was set up by an American Asian 'self-proclaimed makeup junkie', who's based in Baltimore, Maryland. This gal decided to set up her own blog because yellow based skin tones have a different set of rules regarding what looks good and what doesn't. It's a great resource for everyone, but the specific focus should hopefully be of help to Irish Asians too.
