My Travel Cheats: Eve Lom

Eve Lom

For one reason or another, I get to go away quite a bit. Myself and the skin and blister were down in Kerry at Parknasilla at the weekend (lovely, lovely, lovely, so it was), and once again I found myself packing my beauty bits. As I did so, I realised I've gotten into a bit of a routine with regards to what I take. So, this being a blog all about beauty and whatnot, I thought I'd share.

Number one on my list is cleanser. I've long abandoned taking my regular oil on trips, and now when I travel, Eve Lom does too. Being a thick balm/paste, it doesn't spill, doesn't drip, and even if it's really hot, all it does is get a bit more squidgy. Really effective at makeup removal, it's also extremely moisturising so great for use post-plane or after a day in the sun. Yep, it's expensive - get it online from Space NK, or in-store at Harvey Nicks or Therapie on Molesworth street, and a tub costs about €70. But mine has lasted and lasted.

The other travel staple I'm going to share with you today is La Roche-Posay's Toleriane Monodose Eye Makeup Remover. Coming in handy little tear-off individual ampoules, they're perfect for when space is a priority. I take as many with me as I'll need, and no more. So smart, and a brilliant price - a pack of 30 is about €15.
