Sneaky Peek: Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess Collection

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess

En route from Estee Lauder is their Bronze Goddess collection, previewing at House of Fraser (oh oh, BTs won't like that, eh?) from April 6th, available nationwide from the first week in May.

It's a big 'un: skincare, fragrance and colour cosmetics are intended to be all you'll need to get you through the forthcoming long, hot summer - oh look, we can dream -  and typically for me, I've honed right in on the makeup. Above is a selection from the range, including Soft Matte and Shimmer bronzer, €35, nail lacquer and lipstick in Golden Goddess, €17 and €22, plus that luscious-looking SunBlush Illuminator, €39. There are also  three new High Gloss shades, €17.50, and a Luminous Liquid Bronzer €29.

But there's the star of the show to show you yet.

Sand and Sea eyeshadow palette

Not just for summer as far as I'm concerned, this is the limited edition Sand and Sea Eye Shadow Palette, €39. Four neutrals contrast with two gorgeous aqua shades, and they're silky-soft and well pigmented. Presented in a chunky faux-leather compact, the shades have a lot more intensity in real life - the colour to the far left is in fact a deep, shimmery teal, and the brown shade is a lush, deep dark chocolate.  This is a lovely collection of colours, and the packaging has a large mirror inside the lid too.

As with most palettes, it's let down slightly by the included brush, which is so small as to be pretty much useless, and seems a bit of an afterthought. Just use your own brushes, or invest in a couple if you don't own any, and that way you'll get the most out of a product you'll get year-round use from.

So what do you lot think? Will you save your pennies for a particular item?
