Topshop Smoke & Mirrors Collection for AW11

The seventies were the inspiration for Smoke and Mirrors, the end-of-summer collection from Topshop which lands in stores this week (the 18th, to be perfectly precise). 11 pieces form the line and as usual, they've got natty packaging to mark them out from the permanent collection products.

The look you're buying? Lets let Topshop do the talking: "Dewy sunkissed skin is complemented by sooty alluring eyes, framed by black velvet bambi lashes. Lips stay true to the 70’s trend with delicate shades of baby pink adopting a moisturising luxury finish. High gloss nails, in muted autumnal colours, make for fingertips that drape proudly over cocktail lounge chairs. Timeless elegance is created with ease, for an all in one look that lulls you into the world of 70s glamour."

Right so!

Dew comes courtesy of the Glow in Polished, €14 (the Sterling price on this is £9, once again Topshop's conversion is horrible for its Irish customers), which can be tapped onto the top of cheekbones and other areas that catch the light.

And you can get your sunkissed on with Bronze and Blush, €19, in Burning Embers, a double-whammy of terracotta powder with a slice of apricot blusher. Blend together, or use separately.

There are shades for nails at €9 in a new high gloss finish. Shades are Prim and Proper, Bourbon, Miss Marmalade and Fallen Leaf. Lips.  Lipsticks are €14, and are moisturising with a glossy finish. Two shades will be Pillow Talk and Rumour Has It. For both of these images, I'm not 100% what's what - sorry!

There's also an Eye Palette, €19, in Secret Liasons. It comes in a circular compact and contains four shadow shades that include one frosted shadow to highlight, two matte colours to contour and a deeper shade to line the lashes. There's a Lip and Eye Pencil Set, €15, and a Lash Extender Mascara, €15, too.
