Do You Pay Enough Attention to Your Work-Life Balance?

It's Monday, so there's probably a lot of us out there who think we've done enough already this week (it can't be just us, right?) but how do we rate when it comes to the international standards of working hours?

The folks at Mashable have put together an infographic that looks at data from across 35 countries, and these statistics show how many hours we work in comparison to the rest of the world, and whether or not Irish people are satisfied with our jobs.

We're well behind our nearest neighbours in the UK when it comes to the number of hours spent in the workplace, as we sit in sixth place with 1,529 hours spent every year working away in comparison to their 1,790. Netherlands is the country that logs the least amount of hours in the office (1,381), while when it comes to satisfaction, 77% of us Irish are happy with our lot, which is a bit off the leader in the field, Japan, where 86% of people say they're happy.

According to the stats, Mexicans are the hardest working people in the world, and there's a pretty decent number of them (82%) who are satisfied with their position despite the lopsided work-life balance that they seem to have.

So what do you think, are you satisfied with your work life balance? Should we be spending more time in the office? Get in touch and let us know. We're off to go on the job hunt in Holland, anyway...
