HD Brows were the latest greatest thing.  Then the french manicure came back.  You were NO ONE if you weren't wearing orange lips and tips.

But that was yesterday.  TODAY, according to Mac, you're not even the J-Cloth that you save to clean the jacks with if you're not rocking "Sig-Nature" (yeah me neither) or the even more preposterously named "Techno Renaissance Beauty" (huh? HUH?).

It's the latest made up buzzword in beauty circles and it basically means not wearing much makeup bar foundation and adding big bushy brows and a scowl. (Read Brooke Shields called from the 80s to learn how to get the look).

SKIN – what with the fact there is such a focus on minimalism and purity this season, an incredible amount of attention has gone into the ART OF SKIN. It was sponged, layered, buffed, and polished to an incredible level of perfection. The new Mineralize Moisture SPF15 Foundation was a star product, giving a futuristic, flawless eggshell finish. I’m thinking of this skin finish as a new ‘Techno-Renaissance’ beauty. Almost as if you are seeing the makeup through skin care.’

Fair enough, the emphasis is on skin - but any normal human woman needs a little more colour than this.  The model in the main pic looks like a dose of blusher would do her the WORLD of good and though I do see a little lipstaining and white eyeliner in the photos, everyone seriously needs to take the umbrellas out of their arses and have some fun.

So what do you reckon?  Is er Techno Renaissance Beauty for you?
