Bourjois Liner Effect Black Mascara: neutral thumbs
"Oh I love your mascara" said the girl in the newsagent when I was in buying this weeks Grazia.
"It's the new Bourjois one" I said
"Liner Effect?"
"That's it".

Ah in such little moments one meets a kindred spirit. She went to get the next customer their Marlboro Lights and I went off, remembering when I worked in a newsagents and used to read every single magazine in the place every week. Perhaps that's where the encyclopedic knowledge of cosmetics started. Maybe this girl was the same?
I think it's perfect for nights out - but also perfect for days if you like your eyes to stand out. At €12, this mascara really is blacker than black and uses a mad little comb. Like a double sided Rimmel comb it lifts your lashes from the base and make them look really full and long. So far so good. But... by the end of a normal day it had slid under my eyes. Not even flaked, just black smudges. And there was no frantic dancing etc involved.
So I give it thumbs up for creating striking black lashes. Sadly, I give it thumbs down for lastability. Neutral thumbs so.
