Cheap as Chips: Catrice Blue Out to Sea Eyeshadow & Swatch

Look away those of a delicate constitution, as I am about to tell you the horrendous tale of how much this eyeshadow cost.

€2.99. Yes. Two Ninety Nine Euro.

Part of Catrice's summer collection, this is a limited edition, and it's a very good limited edition, so I recommend trying to bag one before it goes out of pharmacy. I'm a fan of sparkly, midnight-toned shadow as it stands, so snaffling one for a very small outlay was pretty appealing. And this (unlike one of the brand's permanent collection shadow singles I have, which suffers from a bit of a quality issue with not-quite-mixed pigments, meaning it blends out into two different colours - most bizarre) is very good.

It's soft, there's lots of colour in there, payoff is good and it applies nicely. The texture is very smooth, slightly sparkly and shimmery, and needs good tapping off the brush unless you want to also decorate your cheeks with it. But let me say it again: for €2.99, it really can't be beat for dramatic night-time eyes.

Fancy seeing a swatch?
