Strange but true: eyelash primer works better with less expensive mascaras

Yep, this was one of the discoveries we made at the Beaut.ie Brunch at the weekend.

Eyelash primer (especially the Smashbox primer) works really well it was agreed. But one thing we'd all found: it doesn't work as well with expensive mascaras. It works really well with Masterpiece, Rimmel and Maybelline mascaras, plumping lashes and making them appear longer.

But with Chanel, Lancome or YSL... it doesn't cut the mustard at all. They seem to be better on their own. Strange but true.
