Becca: The Ultimate Eyelashes?

Becca: The Ultimate Eyelashes?

There's been some chat about "tubing" mascaras around here lately, which prompted me to mention Becca Ultimate Mascara. According to Becca, "This advanced, water-resistant, micro-tubing mascara formula lengthens and thickens the lashes while a conical shaped brush curls, lifts and separates in one easy coat. Contains anti-oxidants, vitamins, and minerals to strengthen lashes and reduce lash loss."

Sounds good, no? I've been using this for a while and it has definitely grown on me. It's easy to apply, doesn't smudge or flake, doesn't clump and has a nice glossy finish. While it doesn't really give a very dramatic look, it does define lashes nicely and there is some added volume and length, and if I use a lash curler and apply Talika Lipocils as a base, I find this is nice for an evening look, and with no risk of spider-leg lashes.

And as for removing it, well, being one of those "tubing" mascaras, no makeup remover is necessary - it slips off easily with warm water and a bit of help from your fingertips. However, if you're wearing other eye makeup and still need to use remover, I find it still comes off easily with my normal makeup remover.

Priced at €26, it costs more than I usually spend on mascara, but if I was putting in a Becca order, I'd be tempted to add this to the basket too. Available online or from the Becca counter in Harvey Nichols.
