Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes: weird name, weird brush

Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes: weird name, weird brush
By Beaut.ie  | Jul 28, 2008

God knows, I've seen my fair share of mascara wands in my never-ending search for the perfect mascara. It's basically another full-time job, that particular quest. However, even I was not quite prepared for coming face to, er, face with Givenchy Phenomen'eyes mascara in Sephora in Nice. (Will stop going on about hols soon, promise.)

This mascara has the dubious distinction of having the most quare-looking brush I've ever clapped eyes on, so of course I am dying to have a go of it! It's a spherical affair with spiky rubber bristles that Givenchy say will coat, curl, lengthen and separate each and every individual lash from root to tip. The patented design of the brush is supposed to allow for precision application to short or sparse lashes as well as to the inner and outer corners of the lashline.

Currently a Sephora exclusive and retailing at €26 in Nice (where they were all sold out for the entire duration of my trip, blub!), Phenomen'eyes will be on-counter in Arnotts from September 5th and then available nationwide from the 19th.
