New Dior Diorshow Art Pen: Review, Pics, Swatches
By Beaut.ie  | Apr 4, 2013

There are few things in life that please me as much as a good black felt-tip pen eyeliner, as I might have said a time or two on the site before.  Simple and convenient, a quick stroke along the upper lashline can pull a look together in seconds and is the easiest and most effective way to take a look from day to night. (A red lip is also great, but much higher maintenance).

And I feel just as strongly about a bad one. Few things can enrage me as much as a black felt tip liner that does one or more of the following things:

  • Draws a weak, patchy line, no matter how often you trace over it
  • Isn’t black enough – or even worse, has a blue or green tinge to the colour
  • Smudges or flakes
  • Takes too long to dry
  • Fades throughout the day
  • Creates a line which is too thick or too thin
  • Has a tip which is too long or too short, too rigid or too flexible to easily control
  • Is a bugger to remove

Grr! My blood is boiling just to think of it.

Luckily though, the new Diorshow Art Pen is none of those things. In fact, it’s the very opposite of all of those things. Which is why it’s now my new favourite, even if it does cost €34. It is ticking every single one of my boxes, and ticking them with the most crisp and intense black line you could ask for. The only thing that will relegate it from the top spot is if it dries out too quickly (Bourjois Liner Feutre, I’m looking at you), in which case I will come back and tell you all about it.

For now though, I pronounce it Very Good Indeed  - and even better, it’s on counter now.
