SS11: Guerlain Spring 2011

SS11: Guerlain Spring 2011
By Beaut.ie  | Dec 7, 2010

Well, the weather outside is frightful / but the spring launches are so delightful.  Lets cheer ourselves up with some colouredy fun from Guerlain, then, shall we? Launching on the 9th of January is Guerlain Spring 2011, and the very beautiful Natalia Vodianova is the face of the range once more.

Like Estee Lauder and Clarins, Guerlain's delivering up pinks and purples for spring 2011 and the star of the show is the limited edition Ecrin 6 Coleurs in Rue du Rivoli, €72. This is a spend. I haven't yet had one of these to test so can't comment on the quality of the shadows, but as a piece of bathroom real estate, it's beautiful. Six shades for eyes include matte, satin and iridescent textures.

Another limited edition product, Blush G de Guerlain in Serie Noir, €55, is inspired by the brand's fab Rouge G de Guerlain lipsticks - more on 'em below - and is designed to suit all skintones. Actually coral does suit most people and this is one I'd absolutely use myself, being a big fan of the shade for cheeks. It's very pretty in wear.

Rouge G de Guerlain, €39.50, comes in four limited edition shades in a new glossy black shell. We'll be seeing Rouge Sensuel (above) as well as Orange Euphorique, Fuchsia Delice and Rose Desir. These, along with the Blush G de Guerlain, form a sort of mini-collection, Serie Noire, within the spring range, and are identified by their glossy back cases.

It wouldn't be a Guerlain collection without some Meteorites fun, eh? This time, we're seeing three shades of pressed powder, available in Teint Rose, Teint Beige and Teint Dore.  They'll be €44 each and are designed to provide a matt finish plus radiance. A tall order!

Some new basics are incoming to the core line. Three shades of Ombre Eclat 1 Couleur  shadow, €30, will be available in L'Instant d'une Etreinte, an iridescent white, L'Instant d'une Ondee, a flannel grey (above) and L'Instant d'un Soupir, a bronze.

There'll also be some new colours added to the Kiss Kiss gloss range. Each will cost €25.50 and we'll be seeing Fizzy Mango, Moka Shake and Rosy Plum (above).
