Finally, Something to Vanquish Liquidlast!

Much as I love MAC's super-duper Liquidlast liners, I'm the first to admit they're a fecker to remove. So much so that MAC brought out a special pro remover to deal with them, and if you use them yourself, you'll know that most eye makeup removers just aren't up to the job.

Yesterday we were chatting about Bourjois' new Liner Clubbing range, which, while it doesn't have the same variety of shades as Liquidlast, is a pretty decent substitute - and it's half the price. In comments on that post, ams told us "I was at my parents house a while back and only had a bottle of Boots Cucumber eye make up remover gel and it actually got off the liquidlast ok - woke up with none of it stuck to my face like usual!".

Oh, interesting, I thought. Some investigatin' needed to be done.

So off I went, and couldn't find next or near a mention of the product on Boots' website. But I've definitely seen this product in store before, and am now wondering if perhaps it's been discontinued in favour of their new Expert range? If you've seen it recently, leave us a comment and let us know!

In the meantime, the other thing that's amazing at cutting through Liquidlast's plastic shine is an oil based cleanser. So look for something like L'Occitane Almond Apple Cleansing Oil, Decleor Cleansing Oil, above, or if you're feeling very spendy, you could give Aphrodite's favourite Creme de la Mer Cleansing Fluid a try, a shiny, sparkly oil that'll set you back something in the region of ninety euro bucks.
