A tinted gradual tanner is a fairly rare beast, so when I recently received two of Nuxe's new gradual self tans for face, €23 for 40ml, and body, €27 for 100ml, to try I was delighted to find that they contained a guide colour. Now, there's probably an argument that gradual tanners don't really need to be tinted since they contain so little of the tanning agent DHA, and sure how could you muck up their application when they're so light? Well, maybe, but that probably doesn't do much to put tan-phobes at ease.
In addition to simplifying the application process - no more turning limbs this way and that in the light to try and see any dry spots that indicate spots that have been missed - the tint gives an instant hit of colour while the gradual tanner develops underneath. That's the case with both the face and body version of Nuxe Soleil Prodigieux, and the guide colour of both is infused with micro-pearls for a shimmering, radiant effect. The body lotion in particular is nicely moisturising, too.

The colour, when it does develop, is actually pretty dark as gradual tans goes, so definitely one for those who prefer noticeable bronzing.
