It's only Jan 2nd - but already I have broken most of the resolutions I made in a fit of champagne fueled idealism on the 31st.
- Be more healthy
- Lose weight
- Stop spending so much money on crap
- Take off makeup every night
Modest aspirations I'm sure you'll agree - and the same resolutions I think I have been making every year for the past ten years. How and ever.
But I don't think me and Resolutions are ever going to get along. Already I have been to the sales and bought a load of rubbish I don't need (Resolution 3); eaten a pizza and half a box of chocolates (Resolutions 1 and 2); cried off going for a walk "because of the snow" and instead stayed on the sofa playing Nintendo DS (Resolution 1); and then lazily went to bed without taking makeup off that night (Resolution 4).
What about you? How's the cigarette quitting/diet/giving up drink/cutting up credit card etc going for you? Or have you resolved to make your resolutions moral ones this year e.g. be nicer to people (even if you secretly loathe them). Or perhaps you're resolving to go and get a new skill and land a great job.
Let us know how you're doing!
