Three of the Best Smokey Eye Palettes Under €15

I love smokey eyes. I am still perfecting my application technique, but when I get it right, I feel my make up is just....well...the way I want it. I endlessly trawl the internet, particularly Pinterest, for new ways to apply the best eye look, but it does come down to the quality of the products you are using as well as a steady hand with a make up brush.

Whenever a new palette comes on the market, you bet I'll be down to Boots to get it. And this week is no exception. But - I am seeking out the value palettes here and looking for products that have great pigment, are good value for money and do the job intended. So, this week my top three, and it was a tough one, is the best, purse friendly smokey palettes!

  • Seventeen Easy on The Eye (€10.99)

I love the palette itself, it comes with ten shades of matte and shimmer pigments (one of which is an eye primer!) that have the makings of a great look. I went for the palette called Birthday Suit which is full of taupes and browns that I like to wear with my blue eyes.

The product itself is a bit dry but with a slightly damp brush it did the job. Also, the darker colours are really lovely and work well in the crease and corners to add some drama. My make up bag also liked this one thanks to it's large choice of colours and flat packaging. Very good value for your moola.

  • Fleur de Force Eyeshadow (€11)

This one is a new product from beauty blogger Fleur de Force which is available on feelunique.com. When I saw the palette I loved the colours, from bronze to brown with a nice balance of shimmer and matte as well. The product goes on very nicely, especially the shimmering bronze along the crease which can be used for a day or night look depending on the amount of product and the brush used. I like a blending brush for a more natural finish.

This one lasted all day, and I have to say I'm really impressed with her whole make up range.

I bought this while on holiday in Spain recently and it quickly became my go to. Now, the sad thing is I have yet to find this in a store in Ireland, but if you are travelling abroad you cannot come home without one of these. The colours are beautiful, especially the moss green and very dark black which works great as an eyeliner when you add some water to a fine brush.
