Made for Walkin': Our Pick of New Seasons Boots Under €50

We may be having a good spell of summer this week, but it's a great time to make an investment in your new season boots. Last Autumn/Winter our ankle boot post went down a treat, so we had to give you the lowdown on what to expect from this season's boot trends. And you know what? You can wear some these right now without them looking too wintery.

When it comes to new season boot styles, you don't have to go with the traditional black. Although it is the most practical shade to match with your outfits, open your closet to some new textures and colours. One mega catwalk trend is denim, and that applies to shoes as it does to your jeans. Zara are doing the denim boot look very affordably this year, and the key is wear these as your only denim piece. Try these with a leather skirt or trousers to play on a variety of textures. If denim isn't your thing, a camel or tan colour is a casual boot colour. Penneys have introduced the midi boot this year, which sits a few inches higher than the ankle boot of last year. And with the drawstring detail, it's paying tribute to the bohemian vibes we are seeing a lot of. You can also dazzle on the dancefloor in some sparkly boots, inspired by the disco revival at Balmain, Tom Ford and Michael Kors.

The casual boot is always a great addition, and you can choose from suede (or it's more affordable friend suede-ette) to wear with jeans. The chelsea boot is a forever boot, as it's classic design is something that will never go out of fashion. So if you want to spend on these, it's very much worthwhile.

If classic black is more your thing, you can change up your design. H&M have come up with a comfortable open toe casual boot that adds a little edge. But you can rock a dressy black boot too; I'm very much taken with patent this year. You can go all out and treat yourself to the Michael by Michael Kors boots in Brown Thomas for €195, or try H&M's identical pair for just €39.99. Bargain.
