Minus 417 Miracle Immediate Wrinkle Filler: Non-Surgical Temporary Filler, We Put It To The Test. Review, Pics

Minus 417 is a new brand to our shores, their name deriving from the fact that they source their ingredients at least 417 metres below the Dead Sea. And utilising this Dead Sea mud as a key ingredient in their product range, the folks at -417 claim that their Miracle Immediate Wrinkle Filler will blur away wrinkles to significantly improve their appearance. It also claims to rejuvenate and improve the appearance of skin in four weeks with continued use.

Products like this one are a good option for someone who dislikes or feels conscious of lines, but doesn't want to take an invasive or medical approach to minimising them (ahem, Botox). Are we saying that you need a product like this? Hell no! A few lines are evidence that you've lived in your face, which is great.

However, if you feel less confident as a result of fine lines or wrinkles, a temporary filler like this one might make you feel better. And that's great too.

I have some very fine lines on my forehead, so I set this filler to work to test its effectiveness. -417 give very specific instructions on how to use it for maximum effectiveness. The product comes with a little dual-ended spatula. You fill the chosen line or wrinkle with product using the thin end of the spatula, and smooth away the excess with the thicker end. After ten seconds, you pat away the excess product, then wait 2-3 minutes before applying foundation. You should also powder the foundation to hold everything in place.

The filler did make a slight difference to the fine lines on my forehead, but nothing to jump naked out of the bath and shout 'Eureka!' about. Having asked my mum to test it out for me, the consensus is that the product does improve fine lines, but is less effective on deep set wrinkles as it tends to move around more.

But regardless of its capability as a filler, this product has some genuinely great ingredients. Along with the dead sea mud common to all -417 products, this cream contains Avocado oil, Evening Primrose Oil and Wheat Germ Oil as well as Camellia Extract. These rich ingredients are really beneficial to mature skin. Be careful if you have younger or oily skin, however, as ingredients like Avocado oil can cause blockages.

It's currently stocked in Harrods in London and it's about to make its debut to Irish shelves. The exact where is yet to be disclosed but as soon as we know, you'll know!

And stay tuned for a review of their Recovery Mud Mask - it involves a magnet.

At €81.95, this stuff certainly isn't on the cheap side of expensive, but the ingredients speak for themselves. Do you have faith in non-surgical product alternatives? And will you be trying this one? Let us know in the comments!
