Luscious new lipsticks come just in time for Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching so it seemed an appropriate time to look at some new lipsticks because we're all about the pout here at Beaut. The new VIP Collection from Sleek promises to give you that added allure come February 14th regardless of whether it's to impress someone else or just for your own amusement.

There are six new shades (€5.49) in the collection which all boast a velvety finish enriched with vitamin E, shea butter and coconut oil to give both a moisturising and highly pigmented finish (something I've come to expect from Sleek's products).

In a nutshell, here is what's on offer:

  • Private Booth - a classic nude
  • Flaunt it - punchy orange
  • Backstage - warm coral/pink
  • Night Spot - Hollywood red
  • Reserved - sweet candy pink
  • Guest List - bright coral

I've managed to get my paws on four of the shades to show you what's what in terms of pigment and colour pay off. As you can see from the swatches, they deliver on both counts with the added bonus of a "soft focus" kind of finish.

The shades are on trend for the season, veering between springtime coral, orange and nude but overall I'd have to say I really like Night Spot, a rich, Marilyn Monroe style red. Having said that, though, the nudes are lovely for daytime or paired with a smokey eye for night, whereas the other brighter tones are perfect coming up to summer.

Along with the lipsticks, Sleek has two new palettes up its sleeve which will be launching in March: one called "A New Day" and the other, "All Night Long", which feature matte and shimmering shades. I wanted to give a little sneak peek now but keep an eye out for a proper review with swatches later on.

Are you feeling these? Or do you love another?
