Revlon Nail Polish Top Coat Review: Leaves me Cold

Revlon Nail Polish Top Coat Review: Leaves me Cold
By Beaut.ie  | Sep 13, 2011

Anytime there's a chat about nail polish top coats, there's one that's always lauded as being completely amazeballs. It's Revlon's top coat (about €8), and I've been meaning to try it for flipping ages. A couple of weeks ago I finally remembered to buy a bottle of the stuff in Boots.

I've been using it on and off since and, well, I can't say that I'm a convert.

I find that no matter how long I leave between applying my nail polish and putting on this top coat, it causes streaks and dragging. No matter how carefully I apply it, whether I lay it on thinly or lob it on thickly or work with a bead on the end of the brush, it pulls at the colour beneath and the end result is always the same.

That's bad enough, but it takes ages to dry completely and I don't find it especially shiny or long-wearing.

Let me know in the comments if you're a fan of Revlon Top Coat and think I might be using it arseways. As it is, I am completely baffled by its popularity!
